Forklift Licence

TLILIC0003 LICENCE TO OPERATE A FORKLIFT TRUCK

We are now offering 2 day forklift courses for experienced operators

Our forklift courses provide expert training to equip you with the skills, knowledge and professionalism required to handle electric, gas or diesel forklifts of any capacity. This includes forklifts equipped with a mast, an elevating load carriage with fork arms, or other attachments.

You’ll cover everything you need to know to meet the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High-Risk Work requirements.

Course Length: 3 x 7 hour days

Cost: $480 (3 day course) – $460 (2 day course)

Elevating Work Platform Licence

TLILIC0005 LICENCE TO OPERATE A BOOM TYPE ELEVATING WORK PLATFORM (BOOM LENGTH 11 METRES OR MORE)

Gain an edge in your career with our dedicated licence for the boom-type elevating work platform. This course equips you with the knowledge and skills to operate a boom length of 11 metres or more. You’ll develop the knowledge needed to carry out the operation of a hinged or articulated device, and the operation of a telescoping device.

Dogging Licence

CPCCldg3001 LICENCE TO PERFORM DOGGING

Our dogging course equips you with specialist skills to perform high-risk dogging duties and the knowledge to work effectively as part of a team in these roles. The course covers a range of activities, including selecting appropriate lifting gear, carrying out gear inspections for safety, correct slinging techniques, and directing load-carrying crane operations safely.

You’ll cover everything you need to know to meet the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High-Risk Work requirements.

Course Length: 4 x 7 hour days

Bridge/Gantry Crane Licence

TLILIC0016 LICENCE TO OPERATE A BRIDGE AND GANTRY CRANE

Covering everything you’ll need to operate a non-remote bridge and gantry crane; this course equips you with the skills and knowledge required to complete activities when operating a bridge crane or gantry. This course covers use and activity from a permanent cabin or control station located on the crane itself OR use and activities controlled remotely with three (or more) powered operations.

Slewing Mobile Crane Licence

TLILIC0022 LICENCE TO OPERATE A SLEWING MOBILE CRANE (up to 20 tonnes)

Our slewing mobile crane course equips you with the professional skills to operate a slewing mobile crane of up to 20 tonnes. The course also covers the correct licence requirements you’ll need for non-slewing mobile and vehicle-loading cranes.

You’ll cover everything you need to know to meet the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High-Risk Work requirements.

Portal Boom Crane Licence

TLILIC0019 LICENCE TO OPERATE A PORTAL BOOM CRANE

Our popular Portal Boom crane licence course contains the specialised knowledge to help you achieve the skills required to operate a Portal Book crane mounted on a portal frame. You’ll learn a range of professional skills to conduct essential activities such as identifying and managing hazards, planning appropriate work, and how to adhere to Workplace Health & Safety Legislation & Operating Procedures.

OPERATE ELEVATING WORK PLATFORM

RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform

Course Overview

This unit describes a participant’s skills and knowledge required to operate an elevating work platform in the Resources and Infrastructure Industries.


This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles.


The work required in this unit relates to the National Standard for High Risk Work but this unit does not provide the licence. This unit does not provide sufficient skill to independently load and unload equipment. To perform this activity safely, personnel must either complete or be assisted by someone who has completed RIIHAN308F Load and Unload Plant or equivalent.

Prerequisites

To undertake the RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform course, you will need:

 

  • To be a minimum of 16 years of age


  • To understand and speak the English language at a level that enables the safe performance and understanding of Legislation and obligations


  • To obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Please visit www.usi.gov.au and ensure you have at least one form of identification

  • Plan and prepare for operating an elevating work platform
  • Operate elevating work platform in line with established requirements to complete work activity

  • Verbal/Written and Practical Assessment

How do I enrol?

  • Our Enrolment Form is required to be completed and sent to our office prior to receiving any course confirmation.

  • A Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills test will be required for each student.

What do I need to bring?

  • You must supply one form of photo identification
  • Wear comfortable, practical clothing and steel cap boots (you will not be permitted in with thongs or open footwear)
  • Lunch (There is a café nearby and a regular coffee van visit. Free Tea, Coffee, Water & Biscuits are provided)
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the commencement of training

Training and Assessment

Theory and practical demonstrations.

Re-Assessment

Applicants deemed not yet competent will be provided the opportunity to undergo further training. 


Note: There is no extra cost for this extra training or reassessment

Licences and Certification

This is a Nationally Recognised Training course and applicants deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment for RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform.


A wallet sized competency card will also be issued.

Cancellations and Withdrawals

In the event of cancellation or withdrawal:

  • Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment more than 10 days prior to the commencement of a program will be entitled to a full refund of fees paid.
  • Students who give notice to cancel their enrolment less than 10 days prior to the commencement of a program will be entitled to a 75% refund of fees paid. The amount retained (25%) by Achieve Training and Assessment Services is required to cover the costs of administration and resources which will have already been committed based on the students initial intention to undertake the training.
  • Students who cancel their enrolment within 1 full business day prior program commencement OR after a training program has commenced will not be entitled to a refund of fees.

If Achieve Training and Assessment Services cancels the training course, and is not rescheduling then a full refund will be returned to the payer.
